20 November 2018, Central London, TBC

This seminar will be a timely opportunity to discuss the next steps for genomic medicine in the NHS – looking at key issues for regulation, challenges for adoption and priorities for research.

It will be an opportunity to consider the early indications from the new NHS Genomic Medicine Service as it becomes fully operational in October – as well as the next steps for the NHS Genomic Medicine Centres (GMCs) as they aim to deliver the pledge of 90,000 samples of DNA from patients and family members with rare disease and cancer by September 2018.

Delegates will discuss the priorities for evaluating the evidence and sharing learning from the 100,000 Genomes Project – with the Project aiming to have completed sequencing by the end of the year – and assess the opportunities to advance other elements of personalised medicine by building upon the infrastructures established.
